Examinations
| St Xavier’s College spaces out its regular internal examinations through the academic year. There are two sets of tests (mid-term and first terminal) in the first term for each of the various courses that are taught. The schedule is posted on the notice board. The second terminal examination, which begins in the latter half of February, is of a three-hour duration on the pattern of the University examination, and includes the entire syllabus. The progress of students is evaluated on the basis of these examinations which are compulsory for all. The students’ internal evaluation marks are based on their performance at these tests and examinations, andon their class participation and attendance. These account for 30% of the marks required for passing the University Examination. This is how the marks are calculated. |
